Intellinote is reporting that it has been acquired by BroadSoft Inc (NASDAQ: BSFT). For those who are not aware of this service/application, it is in Evernote’s class, but developed more for enterprise use.
Here’s the statement from Tony Lopresti, GM & Vice President, BroadSoft Team Collaboration, to Intelix:
“BroadSoft is a global leader in providing communications solutions to many of the largest organizations, including 25 of the top 30 telecommunications providers like Verizon, Telstra, Vodafone and BT. In 2015, BroadSoft generated $278M in revenue and, according to Frost & Sullivan, has 41% market share in hosted PBX and Unified Communications (UCaaS). They are an innovator in mobile-first and user-centric technology and are developing the next generation of contextual business communications. By adding our enterprise messaging capabilities to their portfolio, they are well-positioned to redefine the future of work as we know it.
During this transition, providing superior service to customers like you is paramount. You shouldn’t expect any changes in the short term. However, over time, we have many exciting improvements in development as we work to integrate BroadSoft’s significant capabilities into Intellinote.
The acquisition of Intellinote not only gives us significant resources and know-how, but also positions BroadSoft to lead the fast-growing, yet largely untapped, team communication and collaboration market. I will take on the role of general manager and vice president, BroadSoft Team Collaboration, and the rest of Intellinote will join this team as well.
You can read more about the acquisition: BroadSoft_Acquires_Intellinote. I’m excited for the next chapter for Intellinote. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or comments.”
We will bring you more information when some more details are brought to light.
